Detailed information on Moroso Fjord armchair by Patricia Urquiola

The Spanish designer and architect Patricia Urquiola started her career as an assistant to Achille Castiglioni and worked with well-known designers such as Vico Magistretti. In 2001 she opened her own studio, which specialises in product design, interior design and architecture. A year later, the Fjord collection was created for the furniture manufacturer Moroso. She was inspired by the coasts of the north, in particular by a broken shell fragment that had been polished by the waves. She transformed these impressions into an abstract furniture concept that is characterised by soft lines and an elongated cut in all models. This is a model made of black leather with white contrast stitching. The armchair is in good to very good condition.
