This lyrical twig and leaf necklace reflects the pale shimmer of early morning light.
Crafted by hand by fossilizing a real leaf in recycled sterling silver, the leaf is soldered to a pair of hand-wrought sterling silver twigs wrapped with curly vines. The leaf is then set with a speckled labradorite stone with a cultured pink freshwater pearl set on the end of one twig.
Leaf and twig have been lightly oxidized to highlight detail and texture, and suspend from a simple 18-inch sterling silver cable chain.
In the process of fossilizing the leaf, the leaf burns away, leaving its image and texture in the sterling silver making a one-of-a-kind design.
