This chirori is made of 100% tin, taking advantage of tin’s excellent thermal conductivity.

A chirori is a traditional Japanese vessel used to gently warm sake. To use, place the vessel in hot water (yusen). Please note that due to the high thermal conductivity of tin, the body of the vessel itself will become very hot during heating. Be sure to hold it by the rattan-wrapped handle.

Tin has long been used in Japan for sake and tea vessels, as it is said that “water stored in a tin vessel does not spoil” and “tin removes unwanted flavors from sake, making it smoother.” By warming your sake in this pure tin chirori, you can enjoy an even more mellow and refined taste.
